Cokie Roberts Will Discuss America’s “Founding Mothers”

The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, has invited well-known journalist Cokie Roberts to discuss her book Founding Mothers, which examines the lives and contributions of some of the early American women who helped build the foundation of the new nation. Join us on March 26, at 1 p.m. EDT (17:00 GMT), for the webcast of this discussion, which is aimed at Canadian audiences.

An Emmy Award-winning journalist and bestselling American author, Cokie Roberts is a contributing senior news analyst for National Public Radio as well as a regular roundtable analyst for television’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos. Roberts also works as a political commentator and on-air analyst for ABC News. Along with her husband, journalist Steve Roberts, she writes a weekly column syndicated in newspapers around the United States. She serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and was appointed by President George W. Bush to his Council on Service and Civic Participation.
