March 25 webcast with Chicago Tribune columnist Clarence Page
The great political and social contributions that African Americans have made throughout U.S. history are not as well known as they should be, particularly outside the United States. Join us on March 25, at 9:30 a.m. EDT (13:30 GMT) for the webcast of a digital videoconference aimed at exposing different types of Israelis to these contributions. It will reach audiences from a diversity of ethnic, religious and political sectors in many parts of Israel. Our guest will be noted journalist and analyst Clarence Page.
Since 1984, Clarence Page has been a columnist and member of the editorial staff of the Chicago Tribune, and his column is syndicated nationally by Tribune Media Services. Page is an essayist for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and a frequent member of the program's panel of regional newspaper editors and columnists. He is also an occasional guest panelist on The McLaughlin Group. His previous activities include 11 years as a reporter and assistant city editor for the Chicago Tribune; serving as community affairs director, reporter and planning editor at WBBM-TV and writing for a variety of publications.
