March 19 CO.NX global webchat with Rachel Allgood
Female-led businesses, especially those in developing countries, confront significant challenges when taking their companies across borders. The International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) was created in 2006 to draw attention to successful strategies and business models that help women-led businesses tap into international markets. The idea is to promote a global dialogue on women’s entrepreneurship and to exchange experiences. Rachel Allgood was one of the three women business owners representing the United States at the 2009 IWEC conference in New Delhi. On March 19, at 9 a.m. EDT (13:00 GMT), she will talk about her life and work as a leading woman entrepreneur.
Over the past two decades, Rachel Allgood has founded and led two successful marketing and design firms based in New York City. Recognized as a highly adept entrepreneur, she is currently chief creative officer for Isocurve, the firm she founded in 1996, which devises effective international marketing strategies and creative solutions for its clients. Allgood uses her award-winning creativity, as well as innovative technology, to support the business objectives of her domestic and international clients. Allgood’s life’s work is in the Amazon jungle, where she owns a farm and is working with the Quechua people to find sustainable solutions for both economic and cultural survival.
