Whats New on America.gov

2010 Webbay Award HonoreeWebby Award Honoree – America.gov was recently selected as a Webby Honoree in the Government category. Fewer than 15 percent of the more than 8,000 Webby Award entrants are named honorees.

Accordion Menu – The new click-and-collapse menu boxes on America.gov makes pages clutter-free and easier to navigate. The clickable list of arrows at left allows you to minimize or expand categories of content, so you can quickly scan the site’s broad topics or see the full breadth of materials available within a listing on America.gov. Our first example is showcased here.

Mobile site – Now you can access a wide range of content on-the-go by directing your cell phone or other mobile device to m.america.gov. The site features current news, topical features, blogs, texts and transcripts, information about America, a directory of U.S. embassies worldwide and search -- all in pocket-sized format.

Widgets – It’s easy to add a feature, eJournal or blog you enjoy on America.gov to your own Web site or blog. Just go to our widgets page, get the code and put it on your site. You’ll also find widgets for America.gov publications and spotlighted content too.

Article comments – We hope you find America.gov articles engaging and thought-provoking, and now you can share your thoughts with the America.gov community by adding your comments to select articles on our site – just look for the box at the end of the article and type your remarks and read comments by other America.gov readers.
